Dervish Bomb (D Bomb) Group
Hi,
Here's the build:
5 Dervish Bombs, 1 WoH Healer, 1 Boon Prot and 1 AoE Smite.
Dervish (D/? - doesn't mind 2nd because you won't use it):
12+ Wind Prayers, 12+ Scythe and 3+ Mysticism.
Must have:
1. Faithful Intervention
2. Heart of Holy Flame
3. Grenth's Finger
4. Lyssa's Assault
5. Mystic Twister
6. Crippling Sweep
7. Mystic Sweep
8. Res Sig (or Avatar of Balthazar)
This is a massive area damage group.
Try it, give feed back

My guild rans that build, did you see us using it in hoh we had 4 dervish, 2 Woh, 1 sb/infuse and a paragon. Incorperate meditation to lose a enchantment and instantly cause the effect of the your spells e.g grenths fingures = cripple, also we all ran avatar of melandru so we were unspikeable, also one of us was d/r and bought symosis so most of the time we had 1.5k health and at some points just over 2k health. Got me 329 fame yesterday

Yeah that build is nasty and I remember this group of D/Mo's with Balth's Rage. Uber powerful melee pressure. We couldn't last for over a minute against that pressure and had to resort to kiting for like 20 minutes to beat them. Hopefully tho Dervish will get nerfed as it seems to do both more dmg than wars and also tank better.

Funny, my guild came across that in HA, we were 7 nukers with 1 healer hench. We bunched up and as they surround us, we unloaded all our aoe spells on them. Lets just say they didn't last for more than a minute.

it works really really well. in a similar build, we used D/Mos:
Balthazar's Rage
Heart of Holy Flame
Grenth's Fingers
Pious Renewal
Reversal of Fortune
Contemplation of Purity
Avatar of Balthazar
Rez Sig
1 2 3 4 5 6 and repeat. when you CoP, you jump back to max energy and health... sorta like ViM
We also ran a water/earth snare/warder, a ritual lord, and a sb/infuser. lots and lots of fame

Because there's no better test of skill than using a build someone else gave you and pressing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Playing gimmick builds = you are 10% as good as other players.

normally i disagree with shard's stance on non-balanced builds, however in this case he is 100% correct.
d/mo= no skill to win with, so glad it's gone for now

The main idea about sharing builds isn't as simple as you seem to see it. Unfortunately, many players just find builds on such forums and try to execute it in-game. Mostly, that type of build sharing use is, as you said, about 10% as effective as the original user.
What I meant to say is that when I'm browsing Guild Wars Guru's build forum section, I'm studying other's strategies. This way, I can have an idea about something and try to mix it up with my actual strategy.
When you're playing PvP, all the players in the team have to complete every others. So, just using a build you've "found" on a discussion forum and trying to apply it, will probably just not work well.
In the matter of making sure everybody understand what's the main idea of build sharing - I guess - it is experience sharing.
Regards

Im gonna miss overpowered D/mo Why just go into HA with a few Defile Enchantment spikes, and there ya go. On saturday, when 99% of groups were d/mo, it was a dream come true.
